Stratasys provides stereolithography solutions for investment casting applications with its Neo® family of stereolithography 3D printers and Somos® materials formulated specifically for casting patterns. Stratasys has now joined forces with the Cast Metals Federation as a supply member, with a goal to engage with the UK foundry and casting industry, to support customers and knowledge sharing.
Andrew Graves, Business Development Manager for Stratasys, says, “We are delighted to be joining the CMF at this time.
“Our team is seeing renewed interest in large stereolithography-based patterns for investment casting, particularly for the gas turbine industry. We are keen to ensure that this opportunity is taken up by the UK investment casting sector, which has traditionally been very strong, and becoming a CMF member is an ideal way for us to engage with the industry.”
Pam Murrell, CMF CEO agrees saying, “The investment casting sector is an important part of the UK casting industry, making high precision parts of a range of markets, so we are always keen to help enable our members to develop and innovate, through our meetings, visits and activities, so we are delighted to welcome Stratasys RPS into membership to help support this work”.
